I nostri colleghi Argentini, riprendendo un lancio di "AGENCIA DE COMUNICACIÓN RODOLFO WALSH", ci hanno comunicato che, per la prima volta in 85 anni di storia dell'IBM Argentina, si è riusciti a far eleggere i primi rappresentanti sindacali ufficialmente riconosciuti. La notizia è ancora più significativa in un paese dove la IBM punisce l'appartenenza o la militanza sindacale anche con il licenziamento.

Poiché IBM aveva vietato l'uso delle proprie sedi, le elezioni si sono svolte all'aperto nelle principali città (Cordoba, Rosario, Buenos Aires, ecc.), lontano dalle sedi IBM.

514 lavoratori IBM hanno sfidato le diffide dei loro managers consentendo l'elezione di 17 delegati in rappresentanza di 6 sedi.

Our Argentina colleagues, sending a press release from the "AGENCIA DE COMUNICACIÓN RODOLFO WALSH", have informed us that, for the first time in 85 years of IBM Argentina history, they have been able to elect the first Unions Representatives into IBM Argentina. The news is even more significant in a country where IBM penalizes Union membership and Union activity with dismissal.

Because IBM denied the use of their location, the elections have been held outdoor in the major Argentina Cities (Cordoba, Rosario, Buenos Aires, etc.), far away from IBM branch offices.

514 IBM employees have fly in the face of their managers warning allowing the election of 17 representatives for 6 branch offices.
